When I wrote last week’s article, which was part one of our visit to Bristol, PA, a friend of mine reminded me in the comments of the classic oldie song “Bristol Stomp”, which was named after the town and became a hit by the Dovells!
We did our own “Bristol Stomp” down Mill Street, one of, if not the main street, in Bristol, when we stomped (okay, strolled) down the street, checking out the shops after a great lunch at Itri Restaurant. We walked to the end of the street at Bristol Waterfront Park, which had a nice pavilion and a beautiful park running through and alongside it. The water view is of the Delaware River, and across it you can see Burlington City, New Jersey on the other side!
Also while there, we were beside the King George II Inn, which claims to be serving patrons since 1681. We didn’t get to dine there (maybe next time), but we could see that there were many diners inside for lunch.
We wrapped up our visit at Calm Waters coffee roasters. I had a great iced vanilla latte, and My Love, who is not a coffee drinker, had an iced chai tea. And a shout-out to our baristas, Jessi and Ciera, who gave us some friendly conversation and banter while they made our drinks! :-)
All in all, a great visit to an up-and-coming Boomster and GenXster town!
