This Spring and Summer, We Boomers and GenXers Can Save, Still Travel, and Have Fun!

Okay, Boomsters and GenXters…this could still be a great time for us! A Bankrate survey stated that 69% of those planning summer vacations this year are saying they are changing their plans due to inflation.

And get this: 25% say they’ll be “taking fewer trips”; 25% say they’ll be “traveling a shorter distance”; 23% say they’ll be “engaging in cheaper activities”; 22% will be staying at “less expensive accommodation”; 19% will be “traveling for fewer days”; 16% will be “driving instead of flying”.

This is what we are talking about with this newsletter! We’re going to a nearby city for lunch, and maybe for coffee/tea, tomorrow, and more than likely will report on it later. We found that day trips and weekend ones are pretty cool (see our very first article).

Also, we’re using apps like Gas Buddy to locate the lowest cost gas stations in the area, as well as the Wawa app to save 15 cents off per gallon of gas (for a limited time, although they keep extending it, which is a beautiful thing). Apparently, Royal Farms has a program too, and there are probably others.
