A Trip to "The Hipster Capital of New England" (Part 2)
A Day Spent in Pawtucket, Cranston and Providence, Rhode Island
On our first full day, Saturday, when visiting our son, we met him and his friend at Miss Lorraine Diner in Pawtucket. Notice that in the picture on the outside it says, “Booth Service”. I guess sometimes looks (and words) can be deceiving, because when we went inside, we discovered that that beautiful railcar-diner-looking facade had booths in it, as promised, but there was more: it was attached to the building! And voilà:

This was the room that was behind that facade, and the breakfast was really good, as was the service! :o)
As I mentioned in the previous article, my younger son travelled with us, so we incorporated a visit to a comic book store in Cranston called The Time Capsule. What we weren’t aware of, until we arrived, was that they had not only comic books, but vintage toys, video games, vinyl records, CD’s and cassettes! And it appeared that there were different generations and genders in the store.
After that, we went to the Federal Hill section of Providence, which is a pretty hipster area of the city (and you know we like those), and checked out a cool coffee shop. Wait - too many cool pictures I want to show you for that trip. See you next issue for those! ;o)
By the way - are you into vintage comic books, video games, vinyl records, or vintage anything else???? Just curious. :o)
